Description

A respectful workplace begins with understanding what harassment is, recognizing when it occurs, and knowing how to respond appropriately. Federal agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and OSHA, recognize workplace harassment as a serious issue that can affect employee well-being, workplace culture, and organizational compliance.

This course provides an overview of workplace harassment, the different forms it can take, and the impact it can have on individuals and the work environment. You’ll also learn why prevention requires participation from everyone in the workplace.

Throughout this course, you’ll explore how workplace harassment can contribute to:

  • Reduced productivity
  • Increased stress for employees and managers
  • Lower workplace morale
  • Potential legal consequences

You’ll also examine the responsibilities of both employers and employees in maintaining a respectful work environment.

Employers will learn the importance of establishing clear expectations, providing training, implementing reporting procedures, and responding appropriately when concerns are raised.

Employees will learn how to recognize workplace harassment, understand reporting procedures, identify warning signs, and take appropriate action when they experience or witness inappropriate behavior.

Upon successful completion of this course, you’ll have a stronger understanding of workplace harassment and the role everyone plays in promoting a professional, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

To successfully complete this course, you must pass the final quiz with a score of 80% or higher. A certificate of completion will be awarded once all course requirements have been met.
