Back Safety: Office Work Settings

$12.00

Do you work in an office setting? It might seem like a pretty safe place to work, but you are actually at risk for several injuries and exposed to several hazards – some of which you might never expect. Among these are back injuries.

Injuries to your back might happen quickly, or the effects of poor work practices and workspace ergonomics might take their toll over time. Regardless, pain and injuries are preventable through hazard- and employee self-awareness, properly designed and maintained office work environments, and an overall understanding of the various sources of back strain. The effects of accumulated back trauma can cause loss of work, decreased efficiency and overall safety, mood changes, and even early career resignation.

This training teaches you to:

  • identify (and avoid) common hazards that contribute to back strain
  • better design your office workspace and better interact with your work environment (ergonomics)
    and
  • how to catch early signs and symptoms of back injury.

If you spend any time in the office environment – or have employees who do, take this training to be purposeful in your compliance with OSHA’s General Duty Clause by defusing ergonomic hazards, avoiding back injuries (and the resulting injury reporting process), and to keep yourself and your coworkers or employees safe and productive.
