Hybrid and electric vehicle batteries contain high-voltage systems and chemical components that can present serious hazards if not properly identified and handled. Workers involved in the removal, handling, storage, transportation, or recycling of these batteries must understand the associated risks and follow safe work practices.
This training provides an overview of the hazards related to hybrid and EV battery systems and introduces procedures designed to help reduce the risk of electrical injury, chemical exposure, fire hazards, and environmental impacts.
