Description

Every day, people take steps to protect valuable information in the physical world. Sensitive documents are locked away, confidential paperwork is shredded before disposal, and access to secure locations is restricted. We are trained to recognize risks such as stolen wallets, exposed passwords, and unauthorized access to private information.

These same risks exist in the digital world, but they often occur without any visible warning signs. Cybercriminals use a variety of tactics to gain access to personal, financial, and organizational information. Because these attacks happen electronically, they can be difficult to detect until damage has already occurred.

Organizations of all sizes face a growing number of cybersecurity threats, including malware infections, ransomware attacks, phishing scams, unauthorized system access, denial-of-service attacks, and insider threats. Understanding how these threats work is a critical part of protecting both company and personal data.

Throughout this course, participants will examine common cybersecurity risks, learn how cyberattacks are carried out, identify why individuals and organizations are targeted, and explore best practices for reducing security vulnerabilities. The training also emphasizes the role every employee plays in maintaining a secure digital environment.

To successfully complete this course, participants must achieve a score of 80% or higher on the final assessment. A certificate of completion will be issued upon passing.
