Prerequisite: Completion of MSHA Part 46 New Miner Training

Course Length: Approximately 8 Hours 

The MSHA Part 46 Annual Refresher Training course is designed to help experienced surface miners maintain compliance with federal training requirements while reinforcing safe work practices and hazard awareness. 

MSHA requires all Part 46 miners to complete a minimum of 8 hours of annual refresher training within 12 months of their previous refresher training. This annual training ensures miners remain informed about changes in mine operations, workplace hazards, company procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements. 

The curriculum reviews key safety topics while providing updated information relevant to today’s mining environment. Training content may be customized to address the specific hazards, equipment, and operational conditions found at your mine site.
